About Panth
Panth is an independent reference for researching trails and treks across India. The site is designed around structured trail records so trekkers can compare routes, elevation, difficulty, seasons, permits and practical logistics in one place.
How Panth builds trail records
Each trail is represented as structured data and rendered into a static page. This keeps important information available in crawlable HTML while allowing the site to provide useful comparisons and filters.
Where a permit, access rule, weather condition or trail detail can change, Panth treats the information as a planning reference rather than a guarantee. Travelers should verify current rules with the relevant Forest Department, park authority, local administration, guide or other official/local source before setting out.
Editorial and verification labels
Source-reviewed means named references have been consulted for selected factual claims; it does not mean live permits, GPS geometry or trail conditions were verified. Catalogued means structured planning information is recorded but may lack cited support. Provisional means route details, itinerary, figures or starting location need field confirmation. A rebuild is not a new review: each trail only displays a review date where one is recorded.
Distances may be return walks, one-way legs, approximate loops or road access measurements. Panth distinguishes these wherever authoritative information is available.
What Panth prioritizes
- Clear route and difficulty information.
- Useful location and logistics details.
- Seasonal planning and practical safety considerations.
- Transparent handling of information that is missing or unverified.
- Internal links that help users compare related Indian treks instead of trapping them on isolated pages.
Corrections and trail updates
If you find an outdated permit note, access restriction, route detail or other factual issue, please send Panth a correction through the contact page. Include the trail name and, when possible, the source or local authority supporting the update.
Important safety note
Panth is not a substitute for professional guiding, official permits, local weather information, emergency services or medical advice. Conditions in mountains, forests and protected areas can change quickly. Plan conservatively and follow current local instructions.
